Hookt is for meeting real people and going on real dates — safely. These guidelines keep it that way. Breaking them can get your content removed or your account banned. By using Hookt you agree to follow these guidelines along with our Terms of Service.
1. Be real
- One real you. Use your own recent photos and honest information. No fake profiles, impersonation, or catfishing.
- Get verified. Identity verification keeps the community trustworthy — verified profiles are part of what makes Hookt different.
2. Be 18 or older
Hookt is strictly for adults 18 and older. No exceptions. If you are under 18, you may not use Hookt, and we remove underage accounts immediately.
3. Be respectful
- No harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, or hate speech.
- No sexually explicit content, nudity, or unsolicited explicit messages.
- No content promoting violence, self-harm, or illegal activity.
- "No" means no. Don't contact someone who has unmatched, blocked, or asked you to stop.
4. Consent & safety first
- Never share someone else's private information or photos.
- Use live date tracking — share your location with a friend when you meet someone new.
- Meet in public the first few times, and tell a friend where you're going.
- Trust your gut. If something feels off, leave — and report it.

5. Keep it personal, not commercial
- No spam, advertising, solicitation, or promotion of other services.
- No prostitution or any transactional / "sugar" arrangements.
- No scams, phishing, or links to external sites. Anyone who asks you for money is a scammer — report them.
6. Nothing illegal
No illegal drugs, weapons sales, or any unlawful activity. We cooperate with law enforcement where required.
7. Reporting & enforcement
Hookt has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior.
- Report or block anyone directly from their profile, a chat, or during a call.
- We review reports and act on objectionable content and abusive behavior within 24 hours — warnings, content removal, or permanent bans for serious or repeat violations.
- Bans are enforced by identity, so banned users can't just make a new account.
